Using Twitter Effectively

My thoughts about twitter is that it’s a reliable source of communication. You can voice your thoughts and opinions about any and every topic in the world. You can also see what’s trending and popular topics being talked about for the day or week. Any picture, video or meme you can also post on twitter. I usually use twitter to do just that. I voice my opinions about assorted topics such, television shows, politics, movies or even just people in general.

I don’t post as many pictures as I use to but from time to time I’ll grace my twitter followers with my beauty. I love to retweet other people’s pictures and quote other people’s tweets that I agree with. Twitter's origins lie in a "daylong brainstormingsession" held by board members of the podcasting company Odeo. Jack Dorsey then an undergraduate student at New York University, introduced the idea of an individual using an SMS service to communicate with a small group. Jack Dorsey published the first tweet message at 9:50 p.m. pacific standard time on March 21, 2006.

Dorsey tweeted “Just setting up my twitter”. Twitter uses a system of Hashtags (#) so you can follow news stories. In the last year or so the Twitter hashtag itself has become a subject of news discussions on the rolling news as the news companies tell you what is going on or ask your opinions through Twitter. I follow Kylie Jenner, Chris Brown, HBCU Confessions and Dominic Brown to name a few.
The reason I follow Kylie Jenner is because I admire her work ethic and to keep up with the latest on her new make-up line called Kylie cosmetics.

I follow Chris Brown because he’s my favorite R&B singer of all time.
I listen to all his songs, have his albums and every movie he’s played in. The reason I follow HBCU Confessions is because it entertains me to see anonymous students from various HBCU's tweet crazy things they’ve gone through while being enrolled in college.

Student Sound Off Commentary: 911 terrorist attack

Hi, my name is Ashley Hendricks with a Student Sound Off (scroll down to hear my commentary). On September 11, 2001 there were a series of terrorist attacks on the world trade center in New York City. The Islamic extremist group hijacked four airplanes. The attack happened at 8:45 a.m. on a Tuesday morning. A second plane hit 18 minutes after. This was a devastating time in history.

A total of 2,996 people lost their lives that day, including 19 terrorist, 343 firefighters and paramedics and 23 New York City police officers.

The reason I chose this topic was because the anniversary of this attack just recently passed. At the time I was living in Brooklyn, NY. I didn't know what was going on because I was only four years old. After time past and I was old enough to understand what had transpired the tragedy was horrific. Knowing that innocent people lost their lives and family members could never get them back is even worse.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Photoshop

Original photo taken with iPhone 7 plus

This is a photo taken at an old dormitory named Miller Hall built in 1938. This photo was taken with a IPhone 7 plus camera. I was amazed at how well this building was put together and how old it was.

To say this dorm is 78 years old it looks as if it was only built 20 years ago max.
I love the brick used on this building. It reminds me of an old time apartment in the city.

                                                                 Enhancement Photo
Adobe Photoshop is a tool that I've just started to use over the past couple of weeks.  I used it to adjust and enhance my photographs. I used the black and white point and adjusted the color of the photo to make the actual building and trees around it stand out. Even the clouds look different.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a social networking site designed specifically for the business community. People who own companies, businesses, and industries use LinkedIn and also everyday people who are trying to find jobs. LinkedIn is so popular because you can use this social networking platform to increase your business popularity, or to simply find a new place of employment. Some of the features I like on Linked In and that I also think are important are the update posting and news signals. I don't really know anyone on LinkedIn yet because I've just created this site a week ago. This post is me going off of only what I've seen and know thus far. I have no negative or positive reviews to say about anyone's site as of now. What I will try to convey to my LinkedIn site is show my communication skills through networking with others through my college career.
