100 word blog essay
The old school album that I chose was 8701 by Usher. 8701 was the third studio album by singer Usher. This album had some of my favorite songs and todays classics such as "u got it bad", "you don't have to call", and "u remind me". 8701 was released on August 7, 2001. "u remind me" and "u got it bad" were number one singles and on the billboard hot 100. This album sold over 4.7 million copies in the United States. It debuted at number four on the US billboard 200 chart. 8701 received a 4x platinum certification from the recording industry association of America. The album earned Usher two Grammy awards, three billboard music awards and a BET award. The album was produced by Jermaine Dupri. This was one of the best albums I have ever heard. Even though it's old school I still listen to it as if it was just released. I encourage everyone to go and listen.

SC State Bulldogs Take on Kizoa
MY SC STATE BULLDOG KIZOA
Kizoa was one of my favorite social media sites to work on. I liked the fact that I could use different templates, effects and add music.
I don't have many dislikes about Kizoa except one. That one is there isn't a wide variety of music to choose from.
For this particular assignment I got a chance to go around the illustrious campus of SC State University and take pictures of 20 different bulldogs.
I had fun and experienced different offices and buildings that I never knew had bulldogs.
Catching on to the concept of how to use Kizoa was fairly easy. I enjoyed making my first slide show and it didn't take long. In the future I hope to use Kizoa more often.
Final Blog Post
I've learned so much in this past semester. This course has been about learning how to use blogger, enhancing my editing skills, networking skills by using linked in and learning to use various social media sites.
I've connected with other people that are broadcasting majors, and used sites that I would have never used before. Below is a look at the different sites I've used throughout the year and how they work.
Here's a link to my Twitter account. Twitter is one of my favorite social media sites that I've used in this course. Something I don't like about twitter is the amount of characters that I am able to use.
Sometimes I would like to voice my opinion and that gets cut short because of that. I follow 149 people. Most of the people I follow on twitter are celebrities, people from my hometown and people from my school. I find twitter helpful because of the voice it gives people.

Pinterest is an online service that allows you to share images through social networking. I have several boards on my pinterest site. Some of those boards are nails, hair, celebrities, make up & beauty and fashion.
Some things I dislike about pinterest is that it's not a site that you can reach out to other people. You can't voice your opinions, write statuses nor can you make videos.
I do like that Pinterest is a place where I can find different types of girly things that aren't in stores. I love the different ideas I can get from Pinterest and the ideas aren't basic.

I've always dreamed of going to Paris, France one day. After watching various movies and television shows I was convinced that Paris was the place for me.
It always seemed like a beautiful place to visit. For this particular project I used adobe premiere pro to edit my picture. I took my original green screen photo and blended it into the background of the Eiffel tower.
Maybe one day I'll be able to study abroad there. I learned how to blend better and work with the green screen.
This application can be used professionally for photographers or if you work for an editing company you can use it for different pictures. The green screen can be used for fun like I did by placing different backgrounds on photos. To see other steps involved click here.
Kizoa edits and creates slideshows that you can share online or download to your computer. Kizoa can be used to edit photos, make movies, videos and collage making. I personally don't have any dislikes about Kizoa.
What I like about Kizoa is that it's fun and easy to work with. My first time using Kizoa I had a chance to put together a slideshow with different pictures. I also had a chance to add music, beautiful template and effects.
MY SC STATE BULLDOG KIZOA
Throughout this course I've used so many different social media sites that I never thought I'd use and some that I've never heard of.
I've learned how valuable these outlets are and how to use them more effectively. I've become more interested in Pinterest and Kizoa.
Linked In can definitely help me in the business world and adobe photo shop helped me with my editing skills.
I am grateful for the experience and even the lessons the course has taught me. I can use these techniques in future classes and in the real world. Thank you Mr. Hardwood.

My Top 10 on Prezi
This assignment is a presentation on a web based software called Prezi. It is based on my top 10 movies of all time.
Prezi is a web based presentation software, created in Hungary. It is a presentation style in which presentations follow the flow of dialogue.
The company that developed Prezi was founded in Budapest, Hungary in 2009. Prezi has additional offices in San Francisco and Mexico City.
As of March Prezi had reportedly over 75 million users. Prezi launched in 2016. Prezi business is an HTML5 application that runs java script.
Adam Somlai-Fischer, Peter Halacsy and Peter Arvai were the founders. In early 2011, Prezi launched it's first ipad application.
A Prezi iPhone app was launched in late 2012. Being how this was my first time working with Prezi I found it rather difficult to use in the beginning.
It took a few days of playing with to actually grasps the concept. Overall I don't really like Prezi. I'd rather use power point or some other type of presentation software.

The Epidemic of Pinterest
Pinterest is a free website that requires registration to use. Users can upload, save, sort and manage images known as pins and other media content through collections known as pin boards. Ben Silberman started Pinterest in December 2009.
Ben Silberman, Paul Sciarra, and Evan Sharp owns Pinterest. Common ways that people use Pinterest is first as an internet bookmarked, second as a source of inspiration, to promote their own brands and to connect with others. Businesses, companies and other organizations are allowed to create pages aimed at promoting their companies online. They serve as a "virtual storefront."
Surprisingly Apple's Pinterest site isn't as broad as I thought it would be. They only have four boards. Compared to other companies their followers aren't a lot either. Apple only has 6,673 followers and they're only following 444 people. In my opinion I feel the site seeks to achieve more followers, pins and boards. May be they're just not that into Pinterest just yet because they don't seem to put a lot of emphasis the site.
Three of my Pinterest boards are nails, hair and clothes. The reason being is because I love all three things the most. I love fashion and I love looking nice, I always get my nails done and my hair. Appearance is everything to me. Pinterest gives me great ideas to use and I can also give my friends ideas from Pinterest also.
Pinterest is very significant and valuable. It gives people a chance strengthen and build relationships when they like, comment of repin things from others. I like the fact that if you have you're own business Pinterest gives a chance to promote your brand and increase your exposure.
Even if you need any inspiration from recipes, books and more. Pinterest is a helping hand when needed. To see my boards, pins and more of what I like follow me on Pinterest https://www.pinterest.com/ashleyhendricks183/

Journalists & PR PROS: ALLIES OR ENEMIES
Today, media and press are a big deal. You must be careful about what you say and how you say it, especially if you're famous or a person of interest in a certain situation. On one side of things you have someone who may be asking you specific questions and trying to put a story out and on the other side you have people in your ear telling you what to say. What side would you take? I personally would take the side of the journalist. I feel it's their job to ask the questions & release stories that a person may or may not be comfortable with. It's not always to be "messy" for a lack of better words but it's simply them doing their job. They wouldn't be journalists if they didn't. I feel Journalists and PR PROS are more so enemies than allies. I feel journalists sometimes releases false accusations looking for almost anything to put out there just to have a story. Sometimes they don't care who they could be hurting amid it all. I also feel it's a lack of communication between the journalist and the public relations professional. I feel stories are sometimes mixed up and a journalist should go straight to the source. Journalists sometimes leaves the PR PROS to clean up a lot of rumors and not so pleasant things that are said. I also feel PR PROS put out stories to make themselves or their clients look good. Do they really mean what is being said ? Maybe or maybe not. A lot of times it's a cover up. They do or say what's going to keep them from losing out on money, endorsements, and more. Sometimes when statements are released from PR PROS it's no coming back. People already have their minds made up and don't believe what is being said anyway. Everyone has different view points because I found in an article that some journalists turn into great PR PROS.
